We are excited to share a recent innovation for the railway industry where the need for wood railroad tie replacements has become costly and unsustainable.
Heritage Research Group has developed Tietan, a polymer-modified asphalt coating that shields wood railroad ties from the destructive effects of UV rays and water, extending the life of crossties and bridge ties. This premier product is owned and distributed exclusively through Railway Innovative Solutions, LLC, a company of The Heritage Group.
Tietan is already in use on ties at several sites across the country. “Our customers in the rail industry have embraced Tietan, recognizing its potential to address tie failure issues. We are thrilled with the enthusiastic reception and expanding implementation”, shares Buddy Clark, VP of Railway Innovative Solutions, LLC.
