Quality and excellence are soundly built into each element of every project completed by Heritage Construction + Materials companies. From mining the rock to placing the finishing touches on a multi-year project, each step in the process is one of precision, safely calculated and constructed to produce a finished roadway, runway, bridge or product designed specifically to connect us to the people and places we treasure most.

Across the Midwest, our award-winning companies are building infrastructure with pride and purpose – safely and sustainably. Three of our companies – Evergreen Roadworks™, Milestone Contractors and US Aggregates® – were recently recognized for their outstanding achievements in 2025.

During the Associated General Contractors of Illinois 2025 Conference, Evergreen was recognized with three different safety awards – the most ever given to one company.

Milestone wrapped up 2025 by receiving several construction industry awards. For work performed on the I-69 Finish Line project, Milestone was honored with the Asphalt Pavement Association of Indiana Quality Asphalt Pavement award and the American Concrete Pavement Association Divided Highway silver award.

Additional awards for Milestone included the ACPA Commercial Service gold award and ACPA Best in Show, Sustainability awards for the reconstruction of Runway 5R-23L and Taxiway D at the Indianapolis International Airport; ACPA State Roads silver award for work performed on US 20; Indiana Parks and Recreation Association award for Corporate Partner of the Year. At an individual level, Milestone General Superintendent Rob Kish received the ACPA’s inaugural Emerging Leader of the Year Award for exemplary leadership and technical expertise, and Emily Mick brought home the Member of the Year award from NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction).

US Aggregates earned 16 Gold Excellence in Mining awards during the Indiana Mineral Aggregates Association (IMAA) 2026 Winter Workshops. The company also saw 13 of their sites receive a Safety Achievement award for having zero reportable injuries for at least one year.

Additionally, the US Aggregates Cloverdale sites received the IMAA Community Connection award for the second year in a row, and the Columbus site received the Large Producer CAPP award for quality assurance and consistency across aggregate suppliers.

Congratulations to these HC+M companies and individuals for their continued exemplary performance and outstanding industry leadership.
