HC+M Donates 700+ Trees

Heritage Construction and Materials (HC+M) has partnered with the Indiana Tree Project and The Arbor Day Foundation to donate 729 trees. This project is a notable example of how we are working to do our part to build a more enriching and sustainable world.

The donation matched the number of followers HC+M gained in the launch of its new social media pages on Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram.

HC+M is working to be change agents for our business and industry – for us it’s not just about profit and loss for us, it’s about leaving the world in a better place for future generations.

While the Plant a Tree campaign has ended, family, friends, colleagues and partners are still encouraged to follow HC+M’s social media sites to stay updated on the latest news.

About the Indiana Tree Project

The Indiana Natural Resources Foundation has been working to safeguard rare and endangered species, expand public areas that are protected, educate our youth about natural resources, and restore and maintain Indiana’s natural heritage since 1990. The Indiana Natural Resources Foundation and the Indiana Tree Project work together to grow Indiana’s forests, one tree at a time, as part of the collaboration with the Division of Forestry. Healthy woods in Indiana support a variety of outdoor recreation options, clean air, and wildlife habitats. Previously, an estimated 85% of Indiana was covered in trees, today only 19% of the original 85% remains. Their goals include attempting to add 1,000 acres of new forested land to Indiana’s State Forests through this project.

To show support for the management of Indiana forests, once someone donates to the Indiana Tree Project, they will receive an official tree certificate. The certificate contains the acre’s coordinates where your tree from the project is planted.

About The Arbor Day Foundation

The Arbor Day Foundation has been working hard to ensure that as many people as possible not only plant trees but also recognize their true significance since its founding in 1972. Their desire to get their hands dirty and inform everyone about the importance of trees to the health of the world have grown along with them as they have expanded to become the nonprofit organization with the most members. They have planted millions of trees around the world in collaboration with members, supporters, and partners.
