Todd Hillard Joins Asphalt Institutes EPIC Program

The sixth cohort of the Asphalt Institute’s EPIC (Experiential Participatory Image-Driven Connective) leadership program includes Todd Hillard, senior purchasing manager of Asphalt Materials. Additionally, Todd was appointed Treasurer of the Association of Modified Asphalt Producers (AMAP) Executive Committee. Congratulations, Todd, on your appointment and leadership program; it is well deserved!

The program aims to cultivate AI’s future leaders and prepare its participants for leadership roles in the field. The course for Hillard’s class started in June and will conclude in April 2024 at the Asphalt Institute’s spring meeting.

Through the comprehensive EPIC program, workers in the asphalt sector can gain insight into the inner workings of different business partners. It’s also a chance to learn from and create solid connections with other professionals in the field.

This class has visited an Arkema facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and a Marathon Petroleum refinery in Garyville, Louisiana, as part of the program’s numerous industrial tours. Attendance at all eleven committee meetings held at the three annual AI sessions is likewise mandatory for participants.

Check out some of the photos of Todd Hillard in the EPIC program below.

To Todd, one of the most important lessons he’s learned so far is that a wide range of talents are needed in the asphalt sector. He remarked, “We have a lot of technical and commercial folks within our group.” “It highlights the value of having a diverse range of backgrounds in the industry, as each person has a unique niche and collaboration is essential.”
