HC+M Celebrates its Summer 2024 Intern Cohort

Each summer, The Heritage Group welcomes more than 50 interns to gain experience across its family of companies, including more than 30 across Heritage Construction + Materials. The 12-week internship program is designed to give college students meaningful career experience, from networking and learning professional skills to translating academic interests. Outside of their roles, interns engage in 20+ events that include networking, volunteering with their cohort, attending speaking panels, visiting multiple sites and joining their peers for fun activities around Indianapolis.

“I deeply appreciate our leadership’s unwavering commitment to nurturing young talent and betting on them as our future leaders,” said The Heritage Group’s Early in Career Talent Strategy Manager Lexie Seward. “Throughout the program, our leaders conduct intern interviews, connect with them during onboarding, lead professional development workshops and participate as panelists to shape our interns’ perception of leadership in the workplace.”

As an intern with The Heritage Group, you will work hands-on with leaders, influencers and subject matter experts to gain experience that will carry you forward in your career.

“I hope our interns learn that there are tons of different career paths out there, and that their career growth won’t necessarily follow a straight line,” said Lexie. “Also, building a solid network can often take them farther, faster than relying solely on their resume.”
