Asphalt Materials Inc. (AMI) Executive Vice President of Business Development Dave Henderson was recently elected to serve as the FP2 Inc. president for a two-year term starting this year. His appointment was announced at the 2025 Transportation Research Board (TRB) Annual Meeting in January.
FP2 Inc. supports the adoption of pavement preservation at all levels of government and works to ensure pavement preservation becomes a part of road programs nationally. The nonprofit helps governments across the country adopt and use pavement preservation techniques to support longer lasting roads. FP2 also funds important research and works closely with organizations like the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Pavement Preservation & Recycling Alliance (PPRA) and the National Center for Pavement Preservation (NCPP).
“Another TRB has come and gone, but this one will linger in my memory more than most. For me, this TRB will be remembered for the opportunity to lead this great organization for the next two years, an honor entrusted to me by the FP2 board of directors,” Henderson remarked. His leadership aims to strengthen FP2’s mission and foster innovative strategies that will benefit communities across the country.
Henderson has been an active member of the FP2 Board of Directors for six years, contributing his expertise and vision to advance the organization’s initiatives. His dedication to building strong relationships based on trust and shared values is a trademark of his service.
Henderson began his career in the asphalt industry with Koch Materials Company in 1991, where he developed a deep understanding of construction materials and specifications. Over the years, he has held key roles at SemMaterials, Road Science LLC and InVia Pavement Technologies. Today, in his role at AMI, he leads strategy for AMI specialty products including its VRAM product J-Band.
Congratulations to Dave Henderson on being elected president of FP2, a well-deserved opportunity to continue guiding the organization into a bright future!
